Bunny Club

Whilst at Agent Provocateur, I worked creating on a bespoke Playboy Bunny outfit for Annabel Rivkin for a shoot in Tatler  (May 2011) to mark the opening of the new Playboy Club opening in London.

Here is the beautiful result:

New Years Resolution 2012

It's fair to say that if this blog was a child it would have been taken away by social services, it's been so badly neglected.

But it's a new year and with that comes new year's resolutions, mine being:

1. Complete my degree
2. Get a job somehow related to fashion/lingerie industry
3. Re-start this blog
4. Get a puppy

So let me bring you up to speed with what's been going on in my life. I completed my 12 month placement at Agent Provocateur with the design and production team, which I absolutely loved. And now I'm in my second term of my final year, putting together my collection of lingerie and nightwear....all very exciting!

Sneak peak of some inspiration behind my collection....it's pretty dark!

Bordello's 3rd Birthday Party!

I had a lovely time bowling at Shoreditch house to celebrate Bordello's 3rd birthday.....although I was absolutely rubbish but I'm blaming my 5inch heels!

That's how I bowl! (in my Lascivious Ana body)

Lingerie Insight Magazine!

Just a quick note to show the lovely little write up I got in Lingerie Insight Magazine.

I'm SO chuffed!! Will be a great little thing to put in my portfolio and it all came about through me being 'student of the month' in the student showcase through the If You Please website. It's well worth any contour students applying.

If You Please Launch Party

Last summer I worked in the If You Please boutique in Camden Market, selling vintage inspired lingerie by  labels such as What Katie Did, Playful Promises and If You Pleases' own line. Since saying goodbye to the  super cute boutique Amber (the glamourous owner and designer) launched the If You Please online lingerie emporium. It's such a well designed website, easy to navigate, with great designers and prices! I helped out on the photoshoot for the bakground images on the site, it was shot in the gorgeous Nelson's Head pub off Hackney Road.

To celebrate the launch of the website, Amber held an out of this world party at the very glam Movida. With gorgeous If You Please girls wandering around, vintage inspired cocktails, fashion shows and burlesque performances.

Matini glass action

Hilariously one over excited guest wanted to give the martini glass a go himself!

Check out the If You Please website and have a look in the 'blog', there's a little feature about moi, with a few images of my work.

My Speedo LZR Racer Creation...

Last summer at uni I was set a project by Speedo to take one of the banned LZR Racer suits (RRP £300 ouch!) and to transform it into something that would sell at a commercial level in one of the Speedo stores. Luckily my design was used, amongst others from London College of Fashion, University of Huddersfield and Falmouth, in a photoshoot by Speedo to promote the project on their website (Speedo Newsroom).

The real challenge was having to pattern cut from an existing garment, no nice square of fabric here! And as the garment was made up of rigid and stretch panels bonded together it was a real challenge.

My inspiration came from the structure, organic shapes and repetitive segments of cocoon, with associations of protecting the body whilst rejuvenation and preserving youth. Current catwalk trends of armour, tribalism, cut-outs and structured panelling also influenced the design.

My design is on the far right.
The suit is designed to boost confidence and flatter the female form with halterneck, low revealing back and tummy covering front panel.
