LCF Loves You

This year, London College of Fashion are once again launching a search for people like YOU (male and female) to model in photoshoots, fashion films and walk the runway in one of the highest profile graduate showcases in the UK: our BA runway show on 28 June.

We love individuality, we love image, we love uniqueness, we just want to see more of it in the fashion industry – we know things are changing but we’re not willing to wait – our students are the fashion industry of tomorrow. We say homogeneous fashion images are for the faint hearted. We will create events and editorials that are alive and reflect how much London College of Fashion loves fashion and loves the people that make it happen. To do this we need YOU.

We are hosting a casting event in Central London in February, if you’re either a budding new face trying to build your portfolio, someone making a statement or simply a little extrovert, please come along.

We are looking for absolute characters and performers (male and female) who exude confidence and individuality to the lens. Clothes are as diverse as you and our audience, so a touch of bravery is a necessity.

Whatever your look is we want to meet you.  There are no ‘look’  or height restrictions for our films and photo sessions, but to be considered for the catwalk, you will need to be at least 5.9” tall.

So… if you are 18 years old or over, are currently unsigned to any agencies and you are available 9.00am – 2.00pm on Saturday 25 February 2012 we want to hear from you!

We’ll have a live shoot to test your look and your love for the camera so come prepared to perform for them, our Creative Director will be there to guide you through. We want you looking as natural as possible, don’t pile on the make up!

Body Pretzel

My collection has been heavily influenced by hair and braiding (yeah..go with it!). I came across these harnesses the other day by Heather Huey. I love the chunkiness of these pieces, and the realistic hair colours they come in. They make a refreshing change from the chain and leather harnesses that are swamping the high street at the moment.
More than anything I love the term body pretzel!

Bye Bye Bordello.....for now

Sadly this is Bordello's last week as a bricks and mortar shop in Shoreditch....don't worry it will continue online and has many plans for pop up events and shops in the near future, all very exciting! Keep an eye on Bordello's twitter and mailing list for updates.

This week they're having a big clearance sale (online and instore), lingerie up to 70% off as well as fixtures and fitting, unfortunately there's not much room in my flat otherwise I'd take the whole lot.

I popped into today to say goodbye, and obviously picked up a bargain whilst I was there. I brought the Wundervoll Oscillation bra and Ambient brief from AW 10/11. Although it's nice to have sexy lacy underwear, sometimes there's nothing better than having simple well designed items in luxury fabrics. The silk jersey is so soft and the lines are clean...perfection and at the bargain price of £48 for the set, I couldn't refuse!

It will be sad to see the beautiful shop go but I'm sure it won't be the last we see of Bordello.

Whilst at Agent Provocateur, I worked creating on a bespoke Playboy Bunny outfit for Annabel Rivkin for a shoot in Tatler  (May 2011) to mark the opening of the new Playboy Club opening in London.

New Years Resolution 2012

It's fair to say that if this blog was a child it would have been taken away by social services, it's been so badly neglected.

But it's a new year and with that comes new year's resolutions, mine being:

1. Complete my degree
2. Get a job somehow related to fashion/lingerie industry
3. Re-start this blog
4. Get a puppy

So let me bring you up to speed with what's been going on in my life. I completed my 12 month placement at Agent Provocateur with the design and production team, which I absolutely loved. And now I'm in my second term of my final year, putting together my collection of lingerie and nightwear....all very exciting!
